Located in the heart of Yu-batake, 250m from the Yubatake hot springs and 60m Sai no kawara Park.Yuyado located on the main street does not offer meals.It offers five private open-air baths and reasonable prices.You can enjoy sightseeing and visiting the hot springs at your leisure.

This facility is 250m from the Sai no kawara Park Yu-batake and a 1-minute walk from Sainokawara Park.Located in the center of town, it is conveniently located for sightseeing and eating out.
The five private baths, which draw from three types of hot springs (including our own hot spring), are available to guests staying at the hotel free of charge (for 40 minutes).

Kusatsu Onsen is located at an altitude of 1,300m.In winter, the roads become icy and very dangerous.
We strongly recommend arriving before 5pm.Please refrain from driving with normal tires.

Shiga-Kusatsu Highland Road Winter Closure Notice
Restrictions will be lifted from 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 to 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

※The parking lot is available from 2 pm onwards.If you arrive early, please use the nearby parking lot.
·Bringing skis, snowboards, or other equipment into the facility is strictly prohibited.
※As a measure against infectious diseases, we strictly manage hygiene within this facility.

National Route 292 (Shigakusatsudoro) traffic hour restrictions lifted from May 28, 2025

  • Shiga Kusatsu Kogen Route

    Currently, National Route 292 (Shigakusatsudoro) will be open to traffic all day from May 28, 2025.

    However, some one-way traffic restrictions will continue.
    Safety checks at the site are ongoing using monitors and fixed cameras.

    ※The road may be closed again without notice if there is snow accumulation, avalanche danger, or poor visibility due to dense fog.

    Please check Kusatsu Town website for further details.

    Currently, the winter road closures on National Route 292 (Shigakusatsudoro) are as follows:
    The event is scheduled to start at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

    However, "for the time being, traffic will be one-way alternating" and "passage will be permitted from 8:00 to 17:00."

  • About road conditions

    Saturdays and holidays, before the national holiday is that of the World Heritage Site near the Tomioka Silk Mill of Tomioka is quite a traffic jam. Also, if you come via Karuizawa, there is a traffic jam between Karuizawa and Naka-Karuizawa and National Route 18. Please come with plenty of time.In addition, a new road has been completed around Yamba Dam about 25 km from Kusatsu Onsen (National Route 145), Passing Gunmahara Town.If you are not updating a car navigation system, we will guide you to Nakanojo 1080 ml village (mountain path), so be sure to follow the actual road sign from car navigation system.
